Digital video, cable TV and streaming platforms have completely revolutionized the film and TV industries. There is a plethora of formats, styles, genres and subjects with which to explore the human experience, many times bluntly or spectacularly but always with poetry and amazement. This is definitively one of the most exciting periods to be involved with film.

The World of Film
Let me say that “film” is a legacy term. Today, everything is digital video and you don’t need to go to the movies to experience it. This has democratized the production and distribution of fictional and documentary audiovisual content, allowing new voices with varying budgets, sometimes very small, to come to the digital square and tell their stories. Still, storytelling requires hard work and therefore passion, technical and artistic knowledge, and a bit of talent. All content producers have my out-most respect.
As a filmmaker, my primary mission is to develop and produce engaging and entertaining audiovisual content that will promote cultural understanding and the deconstruction of cultural and social stereotypes. You can see this feature in one way or another in all my films and screenplays.
I strive to make sure that all my content is entertaining and engaging. This is fundamental and non-negotiable. But I also want to create content that will help us reflect on who we are and who we would like to be, both as individuals and as a collective.

Tú y Yo en Queens
Tú y Yo en Queens, English title “An Affair in Queens,” is a feature-length romantic comedy full of music. We believe it's the right note after such difficult times created by the worldwide pandemic. The story revolves around Miguel, a first-generation Hispanic in Queens and sophisticated Jazz musician who struggles to make a living out of music that is hired to chaperon Danira, a successful but crass Urban Music performer invited to a summer Hispanic Culture festival. Their different worlds collide in very explosive ways, for our amusement, but slowly admiration emerges and love seems to start brewing. But will they admit it?
Miguel is performed by the talented Mario Peguero, of The Blacklist and Telemundo 47 fame, who has starred and produced several successful films. Danira is played by the beautiful Rocío de la Grana, who is having success doing film and advertisement in competitive LA. Several talented actors lend supporting roles with an amazing sense of humor and great performances.

Official Selection for DFFNYC 2023!!
Were are happy to announce that the Dominican Film Festival in NYC has selected out film as official entry to their 12th annual film festival.

El Baile
“El Baile,” Spanish for “The Dance” is a 7-minute short that celebrates Hispanic culture while tipping the hat at the magnificent composers and performers of Salsa and Bolero music. Lisa, played by the gorgeous Milagros Simon, has just discovered that the dancing partner she has rehearsed with for months to impress an influential talent scout is now in the hospital with a twisted ankle. She will have to choose between forfeiting or dancing with clumsy Javi, played by a charming Marlon Quijije. The short also features renowned Franco Galecio playing a wonderfully bitchy manager in drag. You should check out the mesmerizing choreography that the talented Jeimi Mora and José Rincón created, the breathtaking lighting scheme by Miguel Valderrama and the energetic photograpy by Salvador Bolivar.

There are structural elements in the audiovisual language that have a proven effect on decision-making. I will be the first to tell you that mind-control is impossible, but you can sway better chances of influence your way and be proactive about the prevailing narrative used to describe events. My graduating research thesis is titled “Architectonic Elements of Audiovisual Media of Persuasive Effect on Perceivers.” In a nutshell, you need smart writing and a carefully planned coverage and editing plan. Results are spectacular.

The New Literacy is Audiovisual
If an image can replace a thousand words, what can 30 images per second do?
Audiovisual content is fundamental for the image, branding and coordination of modern corporations. The new memo conveys information with words, images and sounds and frames it in denotations that expresses a philosophy of work and invites clients and employees to interact in friendly and inspiring ways.
